2018 LOA Membership
and Tournament Changes – Mike Kuhn

The Reynolds Lake Oconee Anglers (LOA) has started its membership drive for 2018 with several exciting changes for fishermen of all capabilities.  We have increased our regular tournaments to 12 (two are special boat tournaments) and shortened the fishing day.  All tournaments now will start at 30 minutes prior to sunrise and conclude at 12:30 followed by a catered lunch.  Additionally, we have realigned our prize money to 1st and 2nd place for both angler (front seat) and co-angler (backseat) verses just 1st place for angler and co-angler.  A prize for big bass caught for the day remains.   For those fishing back-seat, we will continue to have a random draw for boat pairings and work to ensure everyone fishes with a different angler each event.  The annual competition for angler and co-angler has been fun and competitive using this random pairing method.  For the hot months of July and August, we will again have a "Major League Fishing" style tournament where the boat totals compete for a 1st and 2nd place boat prize (plus big bass).  We reduced the size limit to 12 inches just for these two tournaments and anglers catch, measure, weigh, record and immediately release all fish caught.  Highest boat weight at the end of the day wins.

To join LOA for 2018 send your $50.00 check made payable to Lake Oconee Anglers to Dick Wuori.  If you are going to the banquet on February 6th at the Lake Club, please add $35 making the total $85.00.
